The prestigious award A. R. Baldwin Service Award 2021 is presented by the American Oil Chemist’s Society (AOCS) Governing Board and sponsored by Cargill, Inc. It is given for the distinguished service to AOCS.
Prof. Dr. Vijai K. S. Shukla is a world-renowned professor in lipidology and a central figure in the study of essential fatty acids. He founded International Food Science Centre in 1990 and today he is the President of IFSC, ICSC and Clean and Green Family. His son Philip Gottschalk Shukla is the Vice President of the company
It is not the first time Prof. Dr. Vijai Shukla has won an award from AOCS. In 1996 he won the Herbert J. Dutton Award, in 2002 it was the Stephen S. Chang Award and in and in 2005 he won the AOCS´s Fellows Award. But this award is especially significant to the professor:
